In October, François X will be revealing dark and hidden passions on Dement3d
While Paris has been lucky enough to witness the emergence of many landmarks in the history of techno music, François X is among its finest ambassadors. His subtle and sophisticated style, which is typical of the Dement3d label, has won widespread acclaim in venues throughout France and on the global stage.
François X is as committed to the quality of his work as he is uncompromising about it, with a disconcerting ability to get people to dance, acting as a master alchemist, manipulating parallax universes where the abstract meets the experimental.
Irregular Passion contains tracks that are self-evidently calm as well as others that feature atonal violence and tracks with cinematic qualities, rich in chiaroscuro and irrationality.
He unleashes an atmosphere with its own peculiar status: a theatrical set where a volcanic rock breaks through to spoil the fine cut of the velvet curtains. Against this backdrop of entropy, the efficiency of the melody prevents any passive approach: inevitably, the body starts to move along with the music.
Some tracks remain deliberately inaccessible, amplifying the heady power of this groundswell of dancing. François X has put his name to a masterpiece: with an utterly simple approach, as if by magic he activates the different layers of sound that confer upon this album its uniquely distinctive flavour of underground ecstasy.
